Can I question my bill amount? (o2)

Options
Hi, myself and OH recently got iPhones, and we are on the £45 contract, however the last 2 months out bills have been ridiculous! (both around £200 for both phones)

I posted on here a couple of days ago asking how I could keep track of my allowance, and someone told me about the 21202 service so myself and OH have started using this, I currently have well over a 1000 mins left and 50 plus texts, and OH have well over a 1000 mins left and 100 plus texts left.

Neither of us have used our phones any differently to normal, and we have a week left till our next bill, which makes me think our previous bills could be incorrect?

Im thinking of waiting to see what next weeks bill states as if its anymore than the £90 we should be paying then I know something is wrong.

As anyone be billed too much before? can and does this happen?

Sorry if it doesnt make much sense!! xxx

I'd phone O2 customer service (2302 from your iPhone) and query the bills - an advisor can go through all of the charges with you.

The longer you wait the harder it is to dispute as they will assume you accept the charges for earlier months (but if there's a blatant error they obviously can't)

Also, ask for your o2.co.uk portal login details so you can check your online bills yourself :)

Kilty is right, you need to ring them ASAP and query it. if you are within your minutes/texts i could only think internet usage to be causing the bill, but i believe IPhone do come with high internet usage packages anyway, so you really do need to ring them.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

I'll take a stab in the dark and guess that the extra charges are coming from data usage on the iphone, not calls or texts. Have you got a data package on the price plan you are on? If not its a something daft like a few quid per meg. Its pretty pointless having an iphone without the web bolt on.

£45 iPhone tariff comes with the data + wifi as standard. It may not have been applied properly by the stupid provisioning system though
