Free Holiday - Sugar Reef Travel Club

Have you done any research on this so called Holiday Club ? If you Google
Sugar Reef Travel Club click the Holiday Watchdog one that comes up .
On their site you will find out a bit more about them.
Is the presentation you went to connected to anywhere near Exeter ?
Exeter is scam city as far as Timeshare is concerned.
Hi,
I have read through that thread. All everyone seems to moan about is that the company contacts you 2 weeks before one of your nominated dates and that the airports are very far away from where they live so they have to decline. We know this and are preapared for both situations to get the holiday - we don't mind.
This is linked to a company in Exeter.Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000

I would seriously recommend that you read the following information from various sources including two Office Of Fair Trading rulings from 2003 and 2005 that detail the activities of the person reported to be behind the Sugar Reef Travel Club... a person by the name of Lisa De-Ville Bradshaw.
The articles state that Lisa De-Ville Bradshaw was also behind Devon-based Travel Quest, Global Traveller and Atlantis Vacations, all of whom are reported to have gone bust. The articles are in date order (new to old) dating back to 2002 and tell a sorry story of broken promises and broken dreams.

Thank you for posting these.
It seems they have had a misleading past, however since 2005 Sugar Reef Travel club has been trading and offering these incentives. Yes it's not a free holiday - but it's a really cheap one if anyone is prepared to obide by the T&C's and a sales pitch at the resort.Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000

You have been offered a free holiday, that before you even leave is by no means free. I would suggest that you are not as savvy as you think you are.
Fair comment. I know this is not a free holiday - it's a timeshare holiday where they hope i'll come back with buying one of their overpriced condo's.
I'm prepared to go by the T&C's to get a week away far away in the sun. The flights alone to Florida, Mexico and Domincan would be atleast triple the price of this holiday so i'm willing to give it ago.
As long as anyone is prepared to obide by the T&C's - i don't see the problem?Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000

You dont work for them by any chance ?
You deserve to get ripped off if you ignore all the warnings.0 -
If you take your sunglasses off you might see the problems.
If it comes from Exeter that is bad news. There is a court case on at the moment concerning missold Timeshare and many other firms have been prosecuted there. All different names but same bosses.
Remember how to tell if a Timeshare salesperson is lying; it is when they start speaking.0 -

No i don't work for them - just trying to make the most of a deal!!
If people are weak enough to give in to these stupid timeshare deals which are sold on these types of holidays then fine. I'm not. I have no intention of even considering anything they have to say on timeshare. Therefore I'm just trying to get the deal of the cheap holiday.
How will that be getting ripped off?
The only way I can see myself losing the up front money we pay (£99 per person) is if the company actually goes bust.Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000

......but thats the problem - read some of the links given above and you'll realise that their terms and conditions make it almost impossible to redeem the 'free' holiday, and some who have abided by the T&Cs have been told the day before their 'free' holiday that it's been over sold and hence cancelled.
I'd imagine they'd catch you out with ambigious T&C while there which you'll break without realising it making you liable for the full cost of the holiday. Of course the cost would be waived if you buy into their productLegal team on standby0 -

Anyways, let's assume that the people behind the numerous failed and vilified companies are now on the straight and narrow and have been for the past four years providing a quality service to satisfied customers..... If this is the case, where is all the positive feedback?
All the above aside, do you have a link to the T's and C's you are bound to? .... It's just that they would be interesting to review, particularly given that I don't see a number of costs factored into your calculations, not least of all the likes of transfers to and from any resort. The MSE Dictionary
