I wanna unblock a mobile

I have been given a Sony Ericsson mobile thats on the Vodafone network. I have an orange sim and would like to use that it in. Can I unblock the mobile myself (have heard that you can buy something on Ebay for about £3) or should I just take it to a shop?

Ps- having just looked on Ebay I'm not sure there is anything available to unblock Sony Ericsson mobiles, maybe this mobile can't be unblocked?

phones that can be done free are listed in the 1st post of the non nokias sticky at the top of the page.
if its not there post details and someone will tell you the cheapest way to get it done

if you mean unlocked thats fine
if you mean unblocked (because phone is barred) thats illegal - up to 5 years inside
