I've bought a couple these for family, all worked spot on, and still do.

:T Thanks for the advice guys:T
I think I'll try to return it to Woolies and see what they say. If no luck, I may try the company.

i got rid of freeview last week though as it was cheaper for me to get telewest digital installed, drop my 10mg internet for 4mb. i pay £16 to £18 per month less with better picture quality and more channels for the bedroom. now on a £35 per month package, i used to pay that just for internet.
and believe me they will do it for cheaper if you have the guts to be cheeky! All you need to say is 'I can get it cheaper elsewhere.....'
1st they will offer you the same package as ur already on for cheaper.....say no, then they will offer to upgrade your BB speed for a slightly higher price......say no, try not to snigger as they squabble and stutter to try make you stay with Telepest.
They will then offer you a great package but only for 3 months on the cheap, say no.....
Finally, if you stand your ground they will offer you a brilliant package deal for cheap.....FOREVER!
When I have more time I will try paste some 'experiences' with this, cc companies (just like mobile operators) can not stand to see you leave....
It's the customers right to play bluff.....0
