thanks guys, have already gone ahead with a kaldewei classic duo

i checked out the bette starlet after alan m's post on a different thread, and would love to have stretched the budget for one.
As funds weren't limitless, in the end I went for the kaldewei. then splurged the savings (plus a bit more) on a comfort level waste and shamefully extravagent crosswater water square wall mounted bath filler :eek:
not mse overall but wow factor defo!!!! :D:D:D
also have matching wall mounted basin filler thanks to furious shopping around :T

I'm not sure there is much difference in design/shape between the bette starlet and the kaldewei that i have gone for (am not in a position to comment on quality) but I'm certainly delighted with my bath :)

Kaldewei certainly aren't rubbish, they are pretty good value for money, the Bette would just feel more substantial, if that makes sense

My parents have ac ouple of the Bette's. Awesome!
  • One thing to bare in mind is that steel baths suck the heat from the water. If you like to have a long soak you will be constantly topping up! They can basic in design too. Some of the best baths on the market are the Ideal Standard Idealform baths. Guaranteed for 25 years. Dont be afraid of an acrylic bath as long as it good quality and you use a good fitter. Do a search online or visit the Idealstandard website for more info.

    sinks-taps,

thanks but I wouldnt consider acrylic. Just personal preference, and acrylic nails!!! :p:rotfl:
    wouldnt last five minutes.
My family always had steel, so I'm quite used to them and love the robustness.
having spent a fair while researching exactly what I wanted, I disagree they are basic in design either, though there are a lot of simple, classic designs thats true :)

I disagree that they need topping up every 5 mins but lots of people like acrylic, just not for me. Still each to his own

Alan M- think I know what you mean. Like i said, would have loved one, they are kinda the Rolls brand I think? ;)
Mine is still lovely though :D
