Expect them to use every opportunity to extract money from you ( using the kids as leverage).
There will be novelty toy stalls , temporary tattoo stalls etc in the clubs.
Trampolines, bouncy castles, go-karts etc to extract money during the day.
A good tip is to buy the kids one of the large novelty "yard of ale" type drink cups on the first night. Then refill them every other night before you go out ( using much cheaper bottles of pop). Be aware that they change the design on sale every night to try and get the kids to demand a different colour/character cup ( they don't sell all the designs every night - typical of the way they exploit you for more money).
Its a good idea to set a daily budget and stick to it.0 -
craig tara at ayr is !!!!!!....sorry, but have to be blunt in regards to the place, there are so many better havens and rival parks in the ayrshire area.0

Have been to this haven 4 yrs ago. It is on the sea front you can walk the beach with the kids give them a spending limit every day to keep costs down swimming pool will keep them happy for a while. Buy a good quality 2 line kite it will keep them happy for a few hours on the beach. Don't stay on site all the time get out and about Robby Burns cottage not far away. The electric bray not far. I'll let you find out about that but will interest the kids and free. St Andrews not far away. The measure of love is love without measure0

I hope you got compansation. I would never just walk away, Even when a center Parcs if its not right. I make sure they pay!
We stayed in our own caravan at Graig tara. I must admit the pitch etc was not up to much. But you make your own fun and get on with it.
Supermum if your not happy don't just sit back and do nothing go and complain. let us know how it went. The measure of love is love without measure0 -

I am from Ayrshire. I have heard good and bad reports about craig Tara but a few words of advice. Firstly bring rain coats! If you are bringing a car, Ayr and the surronding area has alot to offer. there is a Farm park is beside Craig Tara which appeals to all, my 9 year old still loves it. Ayr has some great parks, beaches and shops. Dunure is a small fishing village a few miles away, my kids love to go there and Culzean country park is a National Trust property about 10 miles away. I hope you have a great time and I hope you it stays dry.
Noticed you dont have car. I'm sure they run buses into Ayr, still lots to do in Ayr itself. The main beach area has a great play park, crazy golf, soft play area. There are good eating places in the town centre.0
