I have been doing HM pressies for years partly because of finances mut mostly because I hate the commercialism of Christmas.
If they don't like it cross them off next years list.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Not Buying it 2015!0 -
Most of my pressies were bought in the January sales (the rest will be little pictures of the queen
) but I do make decorations.
This year I will mainly be working with felt & sequins.
Completed:
- 4 small gift bags
- 6 tree stockings
- 1 large stocking
- also Kidston-style needle books
I've also got a stack of shopping totes to finish and several white towels to gussie up with Cath Kidston fabric. I need to get some plain white flannels to decorate to match. These will be given to friends
I made a Christmas table cloth and advent calendars for the little Luxors last year so just need to fill them this year.

I am planning to make flavoured vodka
body scrub
soap
chocolates (but the cheats way - melted choc poured into silicone petit four cases, topped with wee bits of chopped fudge/crushed maltesars/mixed dried fruit and nuts etc!!, and then popped out of the cases and wrapped in tissue and cello)
If I am inclined I might make some cookies etc too, and am going to make a christmas eve hamper (but thats out of bought bits and bobs, so that doesnt really count I suppose!! :rotfl:0 -
So far, have gone a bit chutney mad - one lot of mango, one of redcurrant and red onion and two of chilli jam.
Also planning some homemade lotions and potions (going on a bit of a course next month to find out how to do it!) and some truffles, which I'll make nearer to the time.
I really do like Christmas - an excellent excuse to make stuff!0 -
You are all so organised!
I have, so far:
Bought the ingredients for a Christmas cake, plus a new cake tin
Bought lots of sock yarn for knitting socks for presents
Um, that's it. Shocking.
I'm definitely going to make the Christmas cake today, seriously, I really am. Honest.0 -
