On the whole they do stop but there are some companies who still send. I get a monthly statement from Clydesdale Bank and I have phoned them until I am blue in the face and they still send them. I've given up and just put them in the bin now.

Hi FYP. I still get the threats from a variety of DCA'S, all demanding payments and threatening legal action of all kinds. They even set deadlines like" You have 24 hours to respond" or things like " There are some who won't pay and you fall into this category and you are a naughty person" " Don't ignore us we won't go away" and other crap. Of course there are phone numbers but they are all 0845, 0870, numbers which I am afraid, make my blood boil even more. If there is something I can't stand it's those sort of numbers, the banks being one of the worst culprits. Say no moreBetter to be poor than a slave to wealth

Me too!!!! I refuse to ring those numbers. I've taken some messages from husband's creditors and when they give the number I always say sorry, we don't ring 0845/0870 numbers and hang up.headoutofsand wrote: »0845, 0870, numbers which I am afraid, make my blood boil even more. This makes me smile really.....can you imagine how foolish 1st Credit will look by taking the case to court only to be chastised by the judge for `wasting court time` ?
Send a copy of your BR certificate by recorded & let them know you are sending it.
I really do wonder how many people go BR & then get hassled by their creditors to pay up.....without this forum I think I would still feel I had to pay it...maybe that why creditors still `try it on`!
