Have you put down the total of all the bills or just your share (you need to put down the total). Do you need to use the car for work? If not you may not be allowed those expenses on your SOA.

one thought, i was going to put £130pm from oh, he does earn more than this but that goes towards his expenses and car etc so i'm not putting down his full earnings pm, however, i don't think i should as i am not including his outgoings, does this make sense? thanks! x

That is correct. How much does he earn though? (ie if he earns say £1,000 per month he would be expected to pay more than £130 - if he doesn't earn much he won't be expected to pay much).

about £600 at the moment (we are hoping this changes soon!), once he has paid his own bills there is not much left ;-(
thanks for your help fiveyear x
  • So pro rota his contribution would be expected around 35% of bills.

I think be may be wrong

In that case you will need to put down about £300. You have added £220 to housekeeping making it £400, contents insurance £20, prescriptions £20. Make all those changes and then post again and we'll see where we go from there.
