I hate needles too, I'm absolutely dreading the perineal repairs.

Right everybody, I will be going on a holiday in the Shaftsbury area of Dorset in a couple of weeks - are there any "must sees" round there?

I am a member of English Heritage/National Trust, so they are open to me.

You'll need a car from Shaftsbury to anywhere national trust etc

    here are the nearest places

    http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-beta-map.htm

Athelhampton is quite nice to visit although quite small but I don't know if you can get a discount - it isn't NT.

If you have your car with you, places like Chesil Beach are lovely. Monkey World is fun and if you're into tanks () there is Bovington Tank Museum very close to Monkey World. There are small stately homes at Kingston Lacy and there are some lovely walks around Kingston Maurward house. Corfe Castle is a really good place to go for the day and if you don't mind a short boat ride, pop over to Brownsea Island (I think it will still be open and that is NT).

Yay! I've done my research for both presentations! Well, prelim research...one I've done the analysis for, the other I've searched for theories/quotes and now I have to put it into context :/

I love tanks. Went in quite a few as a kid because my dad drove them in the army :D
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
