As has been said many times before in this forum. Tell the salesperson that they have only one chance to give you a quote. I imagine that this will concentrate the salesperson's mind wonderfully.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • I wish i never had my windows replaced! We used a local company and they messed it up good and proper had the have them back in to replace certain frames and the straighten others up.... my poor MIL had to sit in my house while they fixed it all.... not a phone call to see if everything was ok however i did get a phone call after the 2 weeks chasing the money. We had 21 windows (this included 2 massive bays of 5 windows each) and a composite door for 8k and everytime i look at them it reminds me of what a waste of money! talk to other people in your area to see what they had done, who did it, how much and if they were happy with them.

    Hello,
We are looking at getting a replacement UPVC Sliding Patio Door Size 244 x 210. we live in Hertfordshire. Can anyone advise what sort of price I should be charged for supply and fit. I had Anglian around recently and their price of £1600 seemed extortiatnate. Also anyone recommend a good fitter around this area.

The firm I have used local to me.

Prices are there if you need some more comparisons.

  • Well if you go by Safestyle's advert it should only cost you a couple of grand. 'Cos if you buy 1 you get 1 free, and it's free fitting.'

The shame is probably each window will cost about £5000 in the first place.
