no bake chocolate biscuit cake YUM!!

Options
Hi,

I made this yesterday and it tasted so delicious I thought id post the recepie here. (sorry if its already been posted before!)

you will need;

8oz crushed digestives

3oz marg

2oz golden syrup

2oz sultanas or raisins

1oz chopped pecan nuts

1oz chocolate chips

1oz chopped cherries

8oz dark chocolte

its soooooo easy to make...just melt the marg and syrup together. In a seperate bowl mix together the digestives, sultanas or raisins, cherries, choc chips and pecan nuts. Combine melted marg and syrup with biscuit mixture thorougly. Press this mixture down tight into a greased container then chill in the fridge for 20 mins or so (till it feels cool)
break the dark choccy into chunks and melt. Stir well till smooth. Pour over chilled biscuit base and spread evenly. Pop back in the fridge till the choc has hardened again, or if you are in a hurry do what i did and put it in the freezer for 10 mins!!

It can be cheaply made too. I used value digestives, syrup and chocolate in mine!
love my little man he is amazing :j

I've made a similar thing before.

One word of warning though dont take them on a picnic in the summer because they all melt and go into a squidgy mess.

I am going to give this a go, I was shopping at my local farm shop and picked up an already made version of this. It was just so nice that I had to find a recipe!

Do you think it would work with milk chocolate, or even white chocolate? I am looking for a choccy Easter cake for my MiL & she can't eat dark chocolate as even a tiny bit gives her migranes.

    Happy Old Styling;)
