will this cheap mobile be unlocked?

Hi all,colour_temp_misc.gif

In the market for a cheap phone and came across this

http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/mobile-phones/SAMSUNG-E1100/PPAY

anyone know if its will arrive unlocked as i have a contract sim from my broken phone with O2 that i would like to use when £10 top up runs out.


Ps: was looking at the £4.95 virgin deal

    I think all carphone phones are unlocked someone can confirm this but i think they are

    Yes, it must be as they sell it with various PAYG SIMS.

    I'm sure I read somewhere that although most of them are unlocked, virgin ones might not be. But I'm not 100% sure.

    The TalkMobile option is best, that's guaranteed to be unlocked (the Virgin one almost certainly wouldn't be).

    I bought one of these when I broke my iPhone and needed a phone quicker than I could get to an Apple Store - on Virgin and yes it was unlocked.
