hi lynz sorry i can't give any advice either ....but like jessicamb and peach pickle i want to give you hugs..but unlike them i just can't figure out how the buttons work....all the best..it's a sad day when people pay for a service but don't recieve what they pay for...and then are told that we can't afford to keep the standard that we are paying for but not recieving ...sorry had to rant there..

rant away elantan!! :T Im all for it. Can I just say I LOVE this in your sig "what would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail" Good question, and makes me smile :D

Well i feel a bit better now, but unable to kip due to heat, thought Id come for a nose about while its late :)

I think I just have to work out what I want which will take time. What I want is to be better, and IM not convinced really its DEFINATELY going to happen so maybe I need to be more philosophical and learn to accept my limitations, but enhance what Ive got. SO "what can I change" answer MONEY :j

Ive just had a rough rethink of my finances, so thought id come here for a stream of consciousness moment, and see whether the initial thoughts make sense in the morning :)

    OK,
Next month the 20th Ill get full pay still, then I think i go onto half pay the month after. This is going to be tricky. Ill think about this tomorrow

I hope to have my b/card cleared by the 20th of next month. I have some paypal money coming in and hopefully be under on the grocery budget so I hope it can be done. This will free up my SO of 50pcm plus my overpayments which have been high on this recently.

I might have to put aside the snowballing of this for now though.

I have a case against lloydstsb that will bring in 1600 ish about to hit court. that will pretty much bring my egg card down to 1k. Manageable. Its 0%, if I had to I could pay the min payments for a while. Does anyone happen to know what this figure could be? Roughly?

I will have on the 20th I think 7 months left of student loans. This is the only debt thats charging me interest. I may be able to suspend payments if Im out of work

the rest is due to the parents at 0% they have helpfully said that they can stop payments, Ive said Ill REDUCE only if its literally impossible to do anything else.

My parents have said I can borrow whatever I want from them ( any surprise IM in debt ;) ) I have asked for 320 to bail the lodger out so far. I may ask them for the 800 for the sofas, or part of it and then pay them back.

I am totting up the price of a few bits & pieces for the flat, nothing flash, but I want this as cheap as possible, they said theyd lend me whatever I needed, and I can pay them back whenever or from the house sale. I will of course be selling pretty much half of the flats furniture when we go at least so whatever I make from that they will get back.

I have been thinking about what I want to do, and I see that the Mational extension college are now taking clubcard vouchers. I did fancy doing a course, so Ive had the genius idea of asking the parents if I could give them one of our clubcard keyrings so we can get thier points towards it ( they are not points junkies like moi!) I think theyd be chuffed to do that for me, and they buy loads of petrol so I could get a hefty amount of points :rotfl:

Anyway enough from me at this late hour - night gang :)

Hey Lynz. Just to say sorry the lodger didn't work out - I was really hoping it would so I could use you as evidence to persuade my OH to get one when we move in Sept! It sounds like it's all for the best though. Good luck with selling the flat too... keep positive and you can't fail!

    thanks you gang.

I feel (relitavely) fresh faced this morning, so onwards & upwards.

I feel alright. Honestly. I think with not getting the job and then that horrible call from work, and just thinking "has my life really come to this". On top of that, in order for us not to completely hit the rocks financially, we are doing what we probably should have done months ago is go onto roll-ups instead of cigarettes. OH is all for it but I cant roll for toffee, so effectively its like giving up smoking at the same time :rotfl: no wonder I feel hopeless!! I think I will fold today and go and buy 10 from the shop instead of 20.

I have a few thinkgs to do today but i anticipate ill have to have another sleep later - i hate it when my sleep is all messy last night this flat was like one of those primal swaeting tents you get in the wilds on those spirituality weekends. Awful.

Actually Lou, I need to update my sig as well as I have spent a few quid this week. Although the bulk of it was paid in vouchers ( over a tenner!) so Ive only spent about £8 this week. Ill round it to 9 though just in case im giving myself unfair advantage :rotfl: In all fairness lovey youve done bloody well, youshould be really chuffed with yourself. Dont forget me & OH have been on this budget for a few months so we are well versed :)

elantan- yes i mean tesco vouchers.basically theres the principle that the ones you get through the door say "£5.23" or whatever youve spent in cashback to spend on shopping. However, if you convert them they are worth 4x that with other retailers. So you can save them for all sorts of "treats" instead. A mate of mine has converted theirs into a holiday in Italy :T how cool is that?? VERY! You can get days out, youth hostelling places, MFI ( I think still do them) courses at the national extension college, airmiles LOADS. http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/ theres a thread on shop but dont drop thats called something like "never use your CC points for shopping" or something, with loads of tips. HAve a nosey.
