Looking at the Blackberry 8520
Hello people!
I was originally looking at getting the HTC Hero but with 600 mins and internet the best I've found has been over 30 quid a month which is too much for me. So I've chosen to go for the entry-level Blackberry. Needs to be O2 or Vodafone.
So far I've found:
#1
O2 600ms 500tx with "unlimited blackberry" 18m for £35 with 16 months at half price
...which comes out to £350 over 18 months (i..e £19.4/m) (mobiles.co.uk)
#2
O2 600ms 500tx with "blackberry unlimited" 18m for £35/m with 6months at £1.99
...which comes out to 432 over 18 months (i.e. £24/m) (e2save)
#3
Voda 600m unltd tx with unlimited internet, bb email, bb internet solution 24m for
...which comes out to £720 over 24 months (i.e. £30/m) (voda website)
My current voda contract finishes on 26/10, they've called me 3 times but I've missed all of them (busy, was sleeping, etc.) they could give me a discount for deal #3 but realistically it will not be as low as deal #1 on cost per month.
Also, in the deal #1, does "blackberry unlimited" include the bb messaging system to connect to other blackberrys for free?
So I think I might go for deal #1 but before I do, is there a better deal out there that you guys know of?
Thanks.

! If you’re thinking of going for the deal at #1 you might want to do some reading through the threads about mobiles.co.uk. I haven’t had any personal dealings with them but the experiences of others as posted on this forum were enough to scare me off.
Personally I’d be inclined to see what Vodafone retentions offer you; I recently got an 18 month deal with a free Nokia E71, 600minutes, unlimited texts and internet for a shade under £20 a month for the full 18 month term.0
