See if you can get a 125cc Honda Varadero. That's a nice big bike with good road presence, although you'll struggle to get one anywhere near your budget. Failing that, as mentioned, the reliability of the CBR is legendary - almost as good as the venerable CG125.0

Tbh you can't really go wrong with a yamaha or honda 125 (thought some of the other makes are very good too!)
The chineese copies are made on a budget. Although they look just as good when new and parked in a showroom, from my experience they are made from cheaper, low quality, metal, paint, zinc plating, chrome, plastic, etc. IMO, avoid0
