Nationwide Customers Locked out of Internet Banking (Again)!!

Last week I was locked out of Nationwide Internet Banking and had to re-register which I did successfully. Today it has happened again!
I tried to re-register again but got a message saying I could not re-register again as they were still dealing with my previous re-registration!
I called customer services and was told that there is a problem with Nationwide internet basnking at the moment and that customers are getting locked out!!
This is especially worrying to me as I was the victim of a fraud on my Natinwide card just two weeks ago!!!!

I don't understand. You were locked out when you were on the online banking. Why did you need to re-register again? Couldn't you just wait for couple of hours, then log in again?0

Logged in 5 minutes ago, no problem. Saying there was a problem was probably polite for "Go away"This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Because, after three consecutive failed attempts, Nationwide requires customers to re-register!0 -

Internet banking can't, but customer services might!
Anyway, just tried. Worked here. And I tried to log on and off 3 times now. Still worked.0 -
So, what you're actually saying is that there's no problem with Nationwide's online banking. But you forgot your login details, logged in incorrectly three times, and are waiting for the new registration details (which I think they say can take 5 to 7 days).
Is that right?
To be sure, requiring re-registration seems a bit draconian (most only require you to ring up and have your ID checked before unlocking your account). So there's a message here for us all: if your login has failed twice, don't try a third time, ring up customer service.0 -

NO! There was a problem with Nationwide banking that day. I called them on 3 occasions and each time was told there was a problem for some customers logging on that morning and they were getting locked out because of a problem with Nationwide systems - not because incorrect details had been entered incorrectly.
For those customers that were wrongly locked out, Nationwide restored their internet banking later that day, without requiring those customers to re-register (even though they received a message to re-register). That meant my internet banking was restored later that day.0 -
I remember there being a problem with internet banking at Nationwide a little while ago.
I'm pretty sure if you register or re-register you can't do it again for 7 full days, that's even if you've got the new details and been able to use them somehow their system stll has the last one on there. I'm not sure if I'm being clear so I'll give an example
You register on Monday 1st, get your details a few days later and use internet banking the you get locked out on the 6th, you can reregister on the 6th because it needs to be 7 cealr days after the 1st so probably not until the 8th. So I'm sure it's not saying go away, it's aying wait a few more days which is really frustrating I know.
Nationwide also do telephone banking, last time there was a problem I registered for this just in case I had a problem with the internet anking in the future. Might be worth registering for that Paul incase you get stuck again, you can check transactions (only about 8 though) and you can transfer money which is the bit I really wanted.0 -
Nationwide have gone down the pan in recent years. I can't see any reason to stick with them.0

Tell me about itWe have been with Nationwide for over 15 years and they were great up until approx 6 months ago. They have made a catalogue of errors on our accounts including mortgage, current/flexi and savings accounts.
Their customer services used to be great but now they treat their customers like dirt, dont return phone etc. Not willing to help or apologise for their errors!!! I'm glad its not just me that thinks Nationwide has gone down the pan. I will be moving next year!!!!0
