Are SAD lamps any good.

I been looking at them myself is particularly such a bad day today lack of light, days like today I really miss the daylight

Prices of lamps vary so much from £40 up to £400

Argos are doing a reasonably priced SAD lamp with good reviews...reduced at the mo.

The Argos Rio doesn't state how many lux, it needs to be 10k

Had a quick look and found manufacturers web site but again they dont state

There's one of these on eBay at the moment showing it as 5000 lux, and there was another one where the seller answered a question with the same figure. Not positive proof, but maybe a pointer in the right direction.

Doesn't luck very good that rio if you need it at 15 cm : 10k lux thats very short distance
