When abuse remove a post, is it possible to remove the abusive post that other posters have quoted.

Yep, as mountainchrisriver has said, when you report a post to the abuse team the link just leads to the individual post so you need to add a note to let them know if other people have quoted the post you're reporting, preferably with the links to the other posts or, if you can't do that, giving them the post numbers they need to look at.

Sadly not in my experience. The abuse button seems a bit pointless at a weekend if nobody's going to read it until monday.

Reports to abuse do get read and acted on over the weekend.

May just sometimes not be as quick as during the week.

In my experience, roughly translates to

"unless it is libel or otherwise damaging to the site, it will wait until Monday"

Ah, but remember this is a moneysaving site. Just think what the overtime bill would be like if the staffing levels were maintained 24/7/365!
