Blinds - Ordered Online

Thinking about ordering Blinds, got in Hillarys for a quote and they provided something high, but was looking online and found lots of online providers that supply you with blinds but you have to fit them yourself. but it works out 60% cheaper.

Has anyone used a online company to order their vertical blinds? If so any recommendations of who to use.

Thanks

I would not bother. I found a local company in my local paper that came out and measured the blinds, then returned a week later to fit them. It was just £125 for 5 blinds fitted. I found similar prices online, but you have to mess about fitting them!

Yes! I have bought blinds online before with 247 blinds.
Used them about 3 times now for wooden slated blinds and roller blinds. They are excellent, really pleased with quality and service. Never had any problems and 2 years down the line no probs with the blinds.
I would def use them again and recommend.

they do made to measure blinds too which is great!

we got some blackout blinds for our loft from here:

because they were set sizes etc, really easy to buy the right-size blinds, and the instructions were really straight forward. Fitted them ourselves. no problems.

site seemed ok, although I think i recall i accidentally put the wrong card details in, and they called up to sort everything out. fast and friendly service.

    not bought vertical blinds online.

i have used hilarys online sister company, called web blinds. They are good when they get your order right, but are a real nightmare should anything go wrong. The after care service is terrible, the staff are rude and they just don't care as they've got what they wanted - your money.

We ordered our roman blinds, folllowing the instructions and ordered them for the exact measurements, only to find them 4mm shorter, i queried this and was referred to the website informing me everything was on the website, (which it wasn't) I eventually got the correct blinds but would not order again.

Did have a look at them which are half the price of hillarys but not worth going through the hassel as you mentioned. Luckily i had them around to do the proper measurement and do the quote. So for now i am using the exact measurements the have noted.

I used web blinds when I ordered a venetian blind for my kitchen. I sent for a range of samples first then measured very carefully. They had a very good selection of metallic blinds (which is what I was looking for). It was a fraction of the price of Hillarys (which is the sister company to web blinds) - I think it cost me less than £40 for a large kitchen window.

My kitchen fitter put the blind up for me.
