Mine has got Prolectrix written across the front of it - never heard of them before, also says distributed by Ultimate Products Ltd on the back by the serial no. Good luck finding one, I like it and as it's quite small it doesn't need too much storage space.

Can anyone tell me how to edit the flippin' title please?

You ask a Board Guide nicely :D

Try this - savoury pie ideas. I'll get back to you if I find a sweet one ;)

I'll add this to the existing pie maker thread later.

I just use a basic shortcrust pasty, 8oz plain flour, 4oz fat, very cold water to bind, wrap and leave to rest in the fridge for 30 mins then roll thinly and use. This is enough for 4 pies with a bit of pastry left over, depending on how thinly you roll it out obviously!

Perhaps I should add a quick disclaimer that I am not the world's best pastry chef though! :o I have also done a sweet shortcrust pastry with the addition of some sugar when I made apple pies.

I got mine in T J Hughes quite a while ago, but they still had them the last time I went in a couple of weeks ago, it was £10.

I got the info from sunbeam
    Blueberry Choc Chip muffins

    1 cup SR flour
    1/2 cup caster sugar
    60g choc bits
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1/4 cup oil
    1/3 cup milk
100g blueberries (fresh, frozen or drained canned blueberries are suitable)

    1. Place flour, sugar, choc bits, in a bowl. Mix well.
    2. Mix together egg, oil, and milk. Stir into flour mixture.
    3. Add blueberries, stir until combined.
4 Place a double layer of muffin cases into the Pie Magic. Spoon 1/4 cup of the mixture into the preheated pie maker and cook for approximately 6 minutes or until golden brown.

Thanks, shall have to have a look out now for some cheap blueberries.

Sorry folks, have not been online much as we have had major pc probs.

One of ours started smoking and making burning smells so we got our daughters out and that has now gone on the blink.

Luckily a friend has just bought a new one and given us his old one.

    Phew!

Am I glad about that, was getting old style withdrawal symptoms.

    :)

Ours is a cheapo unheard of make but you can get a Kenwood one from Studio (the place that you normally get Christmas stuff from) and they have just dropped their price by £5.

If you know someone who uses a cash and carry ask them to take a look for you. I got ours for £9.99 from there.

The fella on the video at Studio only puts a small amount of filling in them.

I think that they cook better if you press the pastry down into the mould more so that you have a deeper pie to fill, I make the filling into a mound and it seems to come out browner as then the pastry lid is touching the top of the piemaker and it cooks far better than flatter pie.

    :)
