What is happening to petrol prices this week?

I'm glad its not just my area then, I currently pay about 1.03-1.06 per litre!0

I think the problem is that they realise people will notice but have the choice to either fill up at one of the garages operating in what seems to be a local cartel where prices are fixed according to local "competition", or not filling up with petrol at all.Well its gone from £1.04 two weeks ago to £1.07 this week.... do they think people don't notice?
Just 20 miles away in Birmingham the petrol is 5p per litre cheaper (at a Shell station near the West Bromwich Albion stadium, if anyone's local!). I can't think of any good reason for our local premium aside from the aforementioned price fixing. Tesco usually leads the way with increases and the other stations follow suit.0 -

Clearly I need to get out more, but as you can see from my fuel log, my prices largely remain unchanged.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Funny how it never came down.
However, I am paying the same now as I was paying in August. i.e. around 106.9p.
Take a look at the relative values of the pound, the dollar, and the Euro.
The cost of fuel at the pump has little or nothing to do with the price of a barrel of oil.0 -
is it going to go up further when VAT goes back to 17.5%?0

Half term down south apparently is the main factor they will be back down next week ...

Not yet - I keep meaning to apply, but now they've cut down the amount of cashback you get I'm questioning if it'd even be worth it.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

If you knew what my life was like before my LBM, you may reconsider that statement.
