Took them and have emailed customer services but not heard back yet. Couldn't give them as the gift they were intended though.
One of mine was pretty bashed too, looked like it was dropped from a great height onto one corner! I took it though, as the alternative seemed a bit risky - I may end up paying full price for the other item.
For those who missed out on this offer, I noticed a few lego sets in Sainsbury's half price toy sale. Not quite as good a deal, but not to be sniffed at!
It's only a game

GGGRRRRRRRRR......So annoyed:mad:
Have only just managed to get to Tesco to collect my lego order from the glitch
When she brought my order to the counter the box was very badly bashed, opened it up to check my order was ok http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-7355.aspx only to dicover that it contained http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-8485.aspx
instead in a very damaged box!!
The sales girl made a phone call to her supervisor & during the phone conversation she mentioned that i had used 'that £10 code'
She checked in the catologue that i had entered the correct product code(which i had!) she said it must be an error in the book and that there would be no point in re-ordering as they would only send the same out again!
so just refunded my £14.97
Not a happy bunny:(

Showman_Bill wrote: »Just wondering why you are so annoyed you already mentioned you knew it was a glitch which you and many others (obviously) took advantage of, the offer clearly said £10 off of £40 so Tesco's would have been well within their T & C's to cancel all orders, this "glitch" as you call it has probably cost the company many thousands of pounds, believe it or not many of the people who work in Tesco's are normal people and one of these people made a mistake and it may well cost them their job. Tesco's corrected the glitch your item was the wrong item or damaged and you missed out, what goes around comes around.Lets just hope that if you make a mistake in the future no one exploits it as much as this one has been. And no I have nothing to do with Tesco I just like to think I can see things from both sides.
Sureley it's obvious why they are annoyed, they didn't get what they ordered, just shows to me that it's not just voucher codes Tesco can't get right !
A company like Tesco should have better testing in place to avoid this kind of basic error.0 -
Well, I really think Tescos should stop doing offers altogether, as it obviously just makes everyone so annoyed....0
