Have you researched the history at a bmw mini dealers because I don't think mine has a service book but has been serviced according to schedule, it came with a tlc pack which means all the servicing has been paid up front. As for the other mini listed above, at least its got a reverse, some of the motorbike engined minis don't.

Who needs reverse in that thing?, somehow I don't think it would take much of a shove on the accelerator pedal to get that thing facing the other way.

It does have the TLC pack but it is from the BMW dealers that I found that the car has only been serviced twice (not from the seller). Why this is the case is beyond me as, like you say, the servicing had been paid for in advance. Unfortunately the TLC pack has now expired (it lasts 5 years) even though there is still a voucher in it. Oddly enough there are three stamps on the TLC pack stubs (this is not a service history book) but only a record at BMW of two services0 -
When the missus isn't looking I will turn the Mini (whichever we get) into a decent car, you mark my words!
Unfortunately not alot of receipts there!
I absolutely agree!!!All I want to know/confirm is that the car has been looked after until now but all the dealer has managed to do so far is leave a message for the previous owner to call him back. If he can prove to me that the car has been looked after then I will happily hand over the rest of the money! It is frustrating because I want the car but I have taken the risk on the service history front before and that ended up costing me alot of money.
I was about to post and add that the car could be absolutely perfect and be a fine car for you, you just need the proof. Contacting the previous owner is a good idea.
Can you confirm, does the car have a sh book at all??
And what is the mileage?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Very true. That is what the dealer is supposed to be doing at the moment though.cyclonebri1 wrote: »Can you confirm, does the car have a sh book at all??And what is the mileage?
I haven't seen a Service History book and I don't believe the dealer has either but BMW did confirm that it should have one. The mileage is 70000 (it's an 03 plate so that's about average).0 -
everything you're saying suggests you shouldn't buy it.
as for your deposit, you could try and argue that you agreed based on a full service history, but would be down to interpretation, and maybe not get your £400 back
Good luck0
