Nor from Cyclonebri1 to the OP's question..

It would be impossible to quantify your second point, there are just too many factors involved.
You know what cars I drive at the moment:p
However, my SIL has just taken delivery of his new and 1st company car.
Toyota Prius hybrid jobby. His company makes macines that rip the heart out of the earth so his boss tries to make out they are a green company by supplying them with eco friendly cars (:rolleyes::rolleyes:,then gives them unlimited paid for private mileage:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:)
Anyway it's a top spec jobby with as many goodies as I have ever seen on any car, including head up display, rear camera system, self parking ability, (wierd) etc etc.Impressive.
Dam thing only averages 45mpg tho'
And at parking speeds it is lethal to pedestrians as it is absolutely silent, not a sound from the electric drive .:eek:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Going off topic now... Your sentence were 'hid xenon are illegal' full stop. I'm telling you this is not the case. Now you are making some sense that aftermarket with correct lens are ok. You are assuming people who rectro fit hid xenon do not have the correct equipment. WRONG.
I meant full and main beam on the lights. Trust you to pick up on this minor....from someone who make statements without the knowledge on hid xenon legality.
Wooo... Coming from someone who puts Xenons on his '98 Fiesta? Ok :rotfl:0 -
Are citroen c3 cars for girls?:footie:0

Digiphase - instead of admitting you're wrong you continued paper over cracks and being childish. You probably never had hid xenon in your car as you think it's illegal so you don't know 1st hand on the quality of the light. When it's time to sell my old fiesta which you are laughing about (ignornant?childish?) i will put the kit onto the next car.0

"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

My car is a 1999 Ford Focus 1.8TDDi, 200,000 miles on the clock and still running beautifully. She's been done up with a bit of bodykit, colour coding, aftermarket lights, and alloys.
No I'm not a boy racer, I drive everywhere within the speed limit and I don't loon around the local high street!
OH has a 2003 model Suzuki Alto 1.1GL, £35 tax, cheap insurance, and never uses any fuel. The downside to that is it never accelerates.
With regards to HiD kits - behind a proper projector lens these are almost acceptable, however behind the patterned lens found on a standard '98 Fiesta they will produce the incorrect beam pattern. You may be able to see fine chum, but the cars coming the other way will be dazzled by your dodgy headlights - it's only a matter of time before one of them runs into you.
Xenons are a bug bear of mine full stop - even OE fitment Xenons are far too bright in some applications (generally speaking the German crop are worst, headlights that could guide a space ship home, there's no need for that on a road. If you need these lights to see at night in your car, then you shouldn't be driving at night.)
On my Ford Focus you'll find projector lens headlamps illuminated by standard H1 halogen headlamp bulbs (The "Ring" jobs you find at your local petrol station to be precise). On the OH's Alto you'll find standard patterned headlamps powered again by Ring halogen bulbs, this time of H4 variety.
