We used to get the high flier graduates over from Japan sitting on our desk for a week or 2. Invariably, we'd take them to the pub at lunchtime and buy them 2 pints. They'd come back to work smashed. One bloke tried to hang his coat up and managed to knock over the entire coat stand and was unable to stand up again!
The Gaijin bosses didn't really know what to do. After all if they'd said, "Don't take Japanese people to the pub" then they're being racist but they all liked to drink at lunchtime so didn't want to ban it entirely.

Let's be honest. This bank bonus thing. Hey, its good if you can get it.
Those which can't, well, we are just jelush really.....I know I am.
I'd have more respect though for that Banking SpokesWoman on telly, if she came clean though, saying things like "wonga" and "nice little earner" now and then.
I remember working on supporting back office systems for a big stockbroker, where i was introduced to the concept of "churn".
That's a nice little earner too
