Towel Cakes

Sadie. I used clothes pegs to keep the towels rolled until I placed ribbon around them.

Hi Sadie
I use curling ribbon or string to hold them in place initially then I use a hot glue gun to secure the ribbon, then remove the string.
I sometimes use a cardboard tube in the middle before I start rolling - depending on the size of the towels. I find this useful to stick things in - or sometimes I remove it and replace it with shower gel or whatever I'm putting on the cake - i find it helps to keep the cake shape.
It's addictive isn't it? - i could make them all day - if only it were possible!!:D

Thanks for the tips everyone! I had thought about putting a bottle in the middle but not sure how well that will go lol! Planning on getting some flowers to go on it, maybe fake ones though so I can make it well in advance. Wedding is planned for 16th April so not much time left
Another thing I meant to ask though, do you all just place each layer on top of the other or do you attach them together? I know I'm a pain
