    Hi everyone,

Have been looking through the thread and some of your creations are just beautiful! I have decided to attempt :o to make a towel cake for my sister's wedding next month. Have looked at a couple of the tutorials on Youtube and think I could have a go lol. Just wondering though, what sort of pins do you all use to hold them together and where would I buy them from? TIA

Sadie.. I use safety pins, you can buy boxes that are mixed sizes.

All the cakes look GREAT! Loving them.. What does everyone put in their cakes? I have done a few but seem to be quite pricey?? Not sure what to put in them to keep costs down?? x

    Hi Sadie

I use elastic bands to hold them in place and them remove them once the ribbon is on.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Sally,

Thanks for the tip, might try elastic bands first and see how I get on. Gonna have to get some large ones though, where can you buy them from that size? Sorry to sound a bit of a thickie :o, have only just started getting into crafting and making my own gifts so it is all new to me! Have bought some white towels now, hoping to get some wide-ish red ribbon to go round it.
