Which one is better Maxtor or Verbatim

The maxtor is 320gb
Verbatim=250gb

There is £6 difference in price so which brand is better

    It's an impossible question, both (as with any brand) will fail at some point in time, I'd go for the Maxtor I've had many in Macs and PCs with no issue.

    It also depends on the model, and when it was made. For no good reason disks from a particular batch may 'go off' quicker than others. The Seagate Barracuda firmware in recent times was a disaster. Before and after that level, they were reliable drives!

    It's similar to cars - you'd never ask "Which is better, Ford or Vauxhall?" (Correct answer, Neither!)

    Id go with Maxtor (But if I was to buy one myself id go with Seagate, Western Digital or Hitachi)

    Are Verbatim rebranded drives?
    Had a look at their website and really can't tell.

    Just for balance with Lokolo - I've got Maxtor in some 10 year old Macs which are booted everyday and run for 8 hours, with no problems at all...
