Blackberry - cheapest contract?
I'm confused by the add-ons needed for a Blackberry phone.
I know I want a monthly contract, my useage will be low 100 mins/ 200 texts.
I've seen Tesco do a deal instore with Orange for £19.57 a month, including the internet, but it doesn't include PIN which is Blackberry to Blackberry IM (??). That is an extra £4.87 a month.
Its a special offer on a 24 month contract for Panther (or was it racoon?) 35.
Will that be all I need?
Is that a good price?
Its for my teenager, so I don't want any surprise extras each month. He needs, internet, email and Blackberry to Blackberry.

The internet add on should include a data allowance, the BBM OR Pin (chat) should come out of that data allowance.
The panther plan on Orange gives you unlimited "push" email - this means that he can have any email (gmail, hotmail, aol ect) sent directly to his phone.
The Orange plans can be confusing, so check out the offers from 02, Vodafone and 3.
3 offer an "all inclusive" plan but at 500 mins may be a bit too much - but for a flat fee of £30 you get
500 mins
unlimited internet (this includes BB chat/Pin Chat)
Unlimited TextsOfficial SOS Club number 011 - Dry until 17/11/20090 -

The Tesco guy seemed to think that BBM was excluded from the data allowance. will need to check this.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. I'll have to check this, the guy in Tesco thought it was specifically excluded from the data internet allowance.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Feel free to check away, I am a BB user myself on a full data plan, and a regular BBM user or if you prefer take the word of the knowledgeable Tesco guy............Make sure that you are put onto the BB BIS plan and not just an ordinary data plan0 -

For that reason I may well get from CPW; their staff seem better trained.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Also check how much data allowance is included, as even the 'Unlimited' plans have a limit (usually anyway.) And if your son goes over this each month you might be charged-and with the blackberry pushing emails this could be costly.
Im with 3 and have the bold and my unlimited internet is capped at 1GB per month (which i think, im right in saying is one of the higher levels) and this includes BM in the plan.0 -
Turns out with CPW its a special deal on the Panther 30, 600 minutes, 500 texts and 500mb data including BBM. Normal price is £30, but CPW do a £10 rebate through orange (so direect rebate on each bill not cashback).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
