Delete old junk. It will probably take a while I'd suggest a search on regular newsletters would be a good place to start - especially any that include pictures as they will be bigger.
With over 7GB available in mine (and I assume yours is the same) you seem to have accumulated rather a lot of email.0 -
You mean googlemails inbox?
Youve actually filled over 6GB of online memory??:idea:0 -

Blimey!!! 92%!!!? Are you sure!?
Log in to gmail. in the search box type
in:spam
This will show all spam emails that have been filtered out. Select all and delete them.
Do the same but in the search box put:
in:trash
See if that helps0 -

Is is absolutely necessary that you store the photos in Gmail?
You could download them to your computer, and upload them to an online storage service, such as Microsoft's SkyDrive (where you get 25 GB of free storage).0 -
only way to upgrade Google mails is to go for their google apps account (usually linked to a domain name that you own). you can get 25Gb for a yearly fee of £25? I think. can't remember..
or
You could open up another gmail account and forward the ones you want to save to there to this "backup / storage" account...
But I'd suggest you get an on-line storage account like Flicker for your videos and pictures rather than keeping them in google mail box.Laters

This sounds better, but it is hard to move them now,0

Why?
Just save the attachments and delete the message (you will also need to empty trash after as they will stay there for 30 days otherwise).
Of course it will take a long time but having them somewhere like flikr means you can at least look at them easily which is not the case in your gmail inbox0 -
You can pay for more storage in Gmail if you want to. 10 GB is $20.00 a year.0
