Does anyone know what dates student finance are now processing for grants?

I am still waiting for them to sort all my stuff out- they have "mislaid" my application several times now!
I spoke to Marie on the phone and asked what was going on. She said there are different processing times for each application (i.e loan, fee loan childcare, pla)However, if you send all your documents in one envelope they only process it with the date that is furthest away. So even tho- her words- they received my applications in Aug, because they have a bag-log on PLA and are only processing from june, they will put it a hold tray, so it can be processed all together. Obvioulsy I wasn't happy about this. She said I could fax my student loan app in and she would sort it. Which she has done:T
BUT, everything else is being held until PLA date moves forward.

My application, which was received by SFE on 27/8, has been processed (I'm just waiting for the payment now). When I called them about a week and a half ago I was told they were on the 5th to the 14th of August but the date they tell people seems to be changeable.

I just phoned (which cost an arm and a leg in itself, grrr!) and apparently they are just moving from the last week of August to the first week of September. It's still likely to be at least another couple of weeks for me, and I've got to fork out £100 of my remaining £150 next week on an Oyster card. Looks like the next few weeks are going to be lean for me!

An update on my last post,

My application has been processed and I received my money last week. My evidence was received during the last week of August so it seems that they're all over the place rather than being systematic about it. As I said in my last post, I was told they were on mid August just before they started assessing mine.

Think they may be getting all the information on the system for October and such and still sorting out processing stuff. Finally got a grant payment this week, and they've cocked up AGAIN by not sending my NI number off so I get my loan. If it's not one thing with SFE it's another...

apparently they are now processing evidence from early Sept and applications from early-mid Oct

remember to visit your student services/student union if you haven't received any payments yet and are struggling financially
