I don't iron, I have various ways of limiting creases one of which is to tumble dry OH's shirts, not filling the drier up too much and take them out while still warm and hang them up - this usually works!:rotfl:
My daughter (nearly 4yrs old) was given a play iron and ironing board at christmas by my outlaws and declared very loudly "what do I do with this?":D That's my girl!!:rotfl:

i wash and dry clothes then fold / hang and put away

i spend 10 mins,if that, ironing everyones outfits in the evening ready for the next morning :)

im not one of those who can stand there ironing for 2 hrs at a time !! <yawn yawn>

besides if i did iron everything before putting it away ,they would get creased again by hubby and kids rummaging about ,so id end up doing it again anyway !

hub wears shirts to work and i used to hate ironing them ! now its much easier as i use tescos easy iron Fabric conditioner in the wash and spray starch when i iron :) mucho easier / quicker now !

It's such a waste of my life!! And because our wardrobes are so stuffed it all gets creased again! So now I just hang stuff up, shove it in the wardrobe and iron boyf's shirts in the morning while he's getting ready to go to work! It means they're lovely and crisp when he puts them on, and I just shove them all the shirts in a cupboard until I need them! I now realise why my mum buys stretchy tops and non-iron fabrics! Is it just me or is men's stuff so much harder than women's?

Well I like ironing, an idea? a glass of what you fancy and somthing decent on the telly.

I agree, well my OH does, I can't iron for toffee, he's great but needs a good programme to watch to make it bearable.

Our son has gone for the creased look, so only OH shirts, a couple of my tops and all trousers need doing.

We don't do sheets/things that can't been seen either

    Problem solved in our house:)
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

I have just bought a Jiffy steamer. They are absolutely brilliant. Hang clothes up and steam creases out. Takes half the time of ironing.
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

I don't mind doing the ironing at all.

I iron in the bedroom so everything can be put away as I do it.

Shirts get ironed using starch as it is much easier and they look really good.

I put music on and dance around and sing at the top of me voice while doing it, so I get a mini workout.

Easiest way to iron a duvet cover is to put it on the duvet and iron it on the bed!!

Clothes are easier to iron with a slight dampness to them, so I have a spray bottle bought from the garden centre and use that.

A tip for those who hate ironing the creases into trousers, when you get them new sew down the crease in a matching colour close to to edge of the crease. Use a sewing machine on a smallish stitch. It's barely visable, unless you look really close and have perfect, sharp creases all the time.
I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here :)
