Pizzaboy, I have a Belkin 7632 and have had several problems with DHCP. Wireless would wok for a day or two and then I would be unable to pick up an address. The only way to resolve this was to remove wireless security, this would allow the laptop to pick up its dhcp address. I would then re enable security and issue new WPA keys. This would work for anything between 2 and 7 days before the problem re occured. Belkin have no idea why this is happening. I have tried various different setting in terms of lease expiry and also different methods of encryption.

I have now moved to static addresses and have not had any connectivity issues.

In terms of security I would always enable all the function available Encrption, MAC address filtering etc. Whilst none of these are bulletproof they will deter any casual hackers in your neighbourhood.

    • You can reconnect to the wireless network that uses a hidden SSID if you remove and then re-create the SSID profile for that network in the Preferred networks list.
Open Network Connections in Control Panel. Right-click Wireless Network Connection and click Properties. On the Wireless Networks tab, select your network in the Preferred networks list and click Properties and make a note of all the settings (SSID, Network Authentication, Data Encryption). Copy the Network Key (shown as blobs), unless you know it or can copy it from elsewhere. Click Cancel to return to the Wireless Network Connection Properties.

With your network selected, click Remove. Then click Add to recreate your wireless network.

i cant work how to broadcast it again
If the above doesn't fix the problem, log in to the router's config pages at http://192.168.2.1 from a wired connection and enable broadcast of SSID.
