Ryanair - new hold luggage allowance

Hi all, can anyone help me out. We are due to fly to Tenerife in a week or so and booked the flights earlier this year.
I know Ryanair have changed their luggage allowances since 1st October. Can existing bookings be upgraded to take an extra bag (including the extra 15Kg). I am a diver and would love to be able to take my dive kit as well as my usual holiday kit.
Tried the upgrade booking and it was really wierd. It allowed me to add a bag and it showed that an extra bag had been added but for some reason it was only costing £30 return rather than the £70 I was expecting.
So if I add the extra bag (basically showing up that one passenger will have 1 bag listed and then further 1 bag rather than 2 bags) will I get the full 30kg allowance? Or will they say that i have paid for a bag but not the allowance. I am very confused and it is not cheap to phone their helplines.
Ta in advance

Hi, quick update. I ended up ringing the helpline (yep £1 per min) but was on and off in 3 mins. They checked the booking and confirmed that I would have the extra bag and the 15kg for only £30.
So it was worth spending the £3 to check.0
