  • The trouble with lefts and dogooders is they only think of now, and that the poor chav kid is eating aturkey twizzler instead of an artichoke heart

My dogooder side was thinking more in terms of them eating at all !
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

well, they can eat if (a) the parents take responsibility and get a job to pay for the food or (b) the parents develop a little bit of sense and stop having so many kids - costs far less to feed 2 kids than 6.

actually, regrds artichkes rather than turkey twilers, why not? they grow very easily, its almost impossible to kill them,, and with in the first year would probably pay for themselves as a veg. Twizlers, I doubt, have that.

As a bonus, the children could be outside, in fresh air, actually doing something helping their parent/s put food on the table and learning something.

sounds like a good idea to me.
  • What's your 'gold standard' of those in the ideal world who should be deemed 'allowed' to have kids then ?

Not those on any sort of benefits obviously, anything else ?

Are you an expert on this, how much children 'cost' ? How many children do you have ?

Assuming there's a garden of course, and the landlord concerned ( if not social housing ) will allow part of the garden to be turned into a vegetable patch.

    1. anyone can have kids. they should just pay for them

    2. if you don't think it costs more to feed 6 people than 2, then it is pointless even conversing with you.

if you think these kids are gonna plant things in a garden and tend to it, you must be a lunatic!! if you asked them to do gardening, you would be laughed at and told f*** off. these people don't even get out of their bed to sign on for free money, let alone grow their own food.

    these people are hopeless scum.

It's amazing, isn't it, programmes like this, which are purposefully designed to feed the hatred of people like TWH, are always so in your face at laying the 'blame.'

So unlike the 'nice' middle-classes (they used to be called 'working' before some fool gave them a credit card) with 'nice,' houses (not paid for, of course, just indebted to the banks for the next zillion years, and nice cars (let's not forget the nice shiny cars) and houses full of 'stuff.'

TWH - your level of thinking is so shallow you couldn't get the balls of your feet clean in it.

i am not shallow at all. I just accept that there are scummy hopeless people out there who are simply scum.

look at that idiot that won the lottery - did the money make him middle class??? no, it just made him scum with lots of money.

money is not the problem it is the people.

as soon as left wingers accept that there are just lazy, no good, bad, evil people in the world, the better.

not everything is the fault of thatcher or a bad upbringing.

most of these people are just lazy. they are ignorant, not because they didn't have access to a school, but because the couldn't be bothered to work, or learn and they messed around and bunked off etc etc. wake up misty. these people are scum with a capital S.

No, I'm afraid it is you that is the scum.

You are an ignorant, vile mouthed/minded, bigot, who has such a narrow train of thought you couldn't slide a hair between it.

As I said before, this programme is made for a fool like you, it gives you something to whine about, to blame, allows you to feel good about yourself.

These people aren't inherently lazy - misguided, lacking in hope, yes - even lacking self-respect and discipline, but then what the hell do you expect when the remainder of debt-laden (but 'nice') morons like yourself, keep spouting such ridiculous nonsense.

Our society, and by that I mean all of it, is in the mess it's in because it thought it could have it all and it can't. It's lost direction, become segmented and has no goal. You are no better than the people in the programme, what are you going to do if you lose your job, or one of your kids goes on drugs, kill them and yourself?

And by the way, I can quote, from personal experience, many cases of 'scum' like this, pulling themselves out of the sludge when they are given a helping hand (and I don't mean money)
One of them, in his 20's and illiterate ('nice' schools letting kids leave without being able to put pen to paper) got a little shove in the right direction. That bloke went out on his own and taught himself to read and write (with help from a lovely lady in a library) then he got a job, at the same place which had turned him down before because he couldn't fill in the application form, then he saved up and took his driving test - passed first time.

A better man than you could ever be.
  • We are not scum thanks. We were a hard working household with a job each ad one day an idiot no watching what they were doing wiped out our lives. We are now a disabled household on benefits with kids, we would love to still be that hard working family life just fails to work the way it should.
