After the awful service I have had I want out! I couldn't pay my bill through their service and then they cut me off so I still couldn't pay. When I was finally able to pay through their phone service I found out that my £35 bill had gone up to £113. I am not happy. I would like to reclaim some money back but I doubt that will happen. What I want most is to be removed from this awful service. I also am not happy how no one contacted me to ask why my payment was late and what the problem was, though this way they were making money from my misfortune!

Anyone else had trouble with them?

You said you could not pay the bill of £35. The extra upto £113 is most likely your remainder contract amount but I think you know that.

If you didn't phone anyone, what did you expect them to do? When I was finally able to pay through their phone service I found out that my £35 bill had gone up to £113. You really need to think about who is the one that has failed to act here. Ok, they may have had a problem with part of their service, that does not allow you to absolve yourself of all responsibility.

So, when you couldn't pay through their "service, did you phone anyone at Three to discuss the problem?

I tried phoning them on a number of times, one to ask about the problem and two to try and pay it. Eventually I was able to pay it via the phone.

If you didn't phone anyone, what did you expect them to do?

Well if someone hadn’t have paid your company a bill wouldn’t you chase them up? Though they seem to be able to send me texts or phone calls on promotions.

Have you asked why the bill had risen to £113?

Again I can’t seem to get through, I have found out I’m not the only one who has trouble with their phone service.

If your payment is going to be late, it's up to YOU to take responsibility for it - you can't spend your life expecting others to chase YOUR payments up without them expecting something in return (like a late payment charge)

Well my first payment wasn’t late, I tried to pay it and I couldn't get through via my phones internet, the three home page on my PC and the phone service.

You failing to pay your bill is not misfortune, you knew you hadn't paid it, you were the one responsible for that

Erm no, I knew my bill was due as I always do, and I pay it. This time round before the deadline I couldn’t pay it because of the issues with the service. So after the deadline they cut my service and charged me more.

Shame you didn't put this info in your first post instead of:-
"I couldn't pay my bill through their service and then they cut me off"

You didn't mention multiple phone calls, internet attempts and mobile internet. That sort of info might have been useful in establishing the quality of their service which might (and only might) be a valid basis for establishing breach of contract. As you've chosen this sort of gradual feeding of info i don't really wish to help, as it makes it too difficult to know what advice to give when only supplied with half or a quarter of even a tenth of the facts.

    I'm out.
  • Write and send a complaint letter to three complaints department. Explain everything. And say you are really angry at the disgraceful customer service you have received. Send recorded delivery. Never mind some of the other people on this forum. They're too quick to jump in and judge. You would think that they get everything right first time. Some people really are giving this forum a bad name. People must be thinking twice about asking for help when all people mostly get now is arrogant remarks back that are extremely unhelpful. Think on people!

So long as they remove charges accumulated due to failure to pay as there services were not working, i don't see any legal reason for cancellation.

As you have received poor customer service they may offer a goodwill gesture payment, 1/2 months free?

Have you considered paying by direct debit, so it is automatic?
