Ugg Dilema & PayPal Problems

The OP posted the exact same thing in the Consumer Rights section yesterday, and didn't like their helpful suggestions either.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2021629
Have you contacted Schuh like two people suggested?
Did you phone ebay and speak to them now this seller has been booted off ebay?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
OP there is not a solution that will be handed on a plate to you as you seem to think. You say your someone in the know, but someone in the know would have known that you won't get a bargain for something like UGG boots off ebay.
I'm afraid that if you want a chance of getting some money back you need to do some of the work yourself. Have you tried Pinkshoes suggestions. Have you done searches to see if there are independent retailers who may be able to help you? Did you pay via credit card (you could then do a chargeback on that)
Other than moaning that no one is helping you why don't you try and do something yourself and follow some of the suggestions made.0 -
Perhaps I didn't explain my sefl well enough. I am not asking anyone to commit fraud. PayPal will accept a note from anyone who works at an ugg vendor who has examined the boots. I am not asking anyone to lie.
In response to the poster who says I don't care about others agin that not true. I could get a refund if I returned these items, but then they would be sold on and some one else would be in my position. There is no point in reporting the vendor because he had only sold one pair to my knowledge.
I was not aware that I could not post on more than one forum. Apologies if that is the case.
as I said I am going to other vendors later today. I work this takes time so I have not been able to act straight away.
I have only found out about uggs and eBay since I made This purchas - now I could spot a fake a mile away. But not before.
I am not sure why people are being so hostile, but it is really not helpful. All I am trying to do is save some money, isn't that the point of this site - not to bully noobs to boost your post count (bob)?
Please no more nahnah I told you so, or "how could you be so daft, I would not have done that!". Etc0 -
You've been handed the solution on a plate. Give the details of the seller to Ugg. What have you got against landing them in it?My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Its quite simple. Return the items. Get your refund. Inform the police and Ebay of all the detials and let them handle it. Leave a negative feedback saying in your opinion they were fakes and you had to return for a refund.
Thats all you can really do unless you can get a letter to say they are fakes but I guess the shops have taken the viewpoint that its your fault for buying them from Ebay and not them.0 -
As I said in your other thread the manager at my local schuh did me a note without a problem, infact he offered. Turns out I didnt need it as the seller relented and refunded me and my postage. I sent them back then reported the seller.0

Well, Thanks to all for your advise! I have resolved this matter, following tips from the likes of Pinkshoes & Lawp79.
I visted my local branch of Schuh and the manager there very kindly wrote me a letter on the spot. He could not have been more helpful, and going on what other people are saying he is not the only member of Schuh staff who has done this!!!
If you must have Uggs I would recommend Schuh for their excellent customer service.
A special mention also to Bank. A different branch to the one i asked originally and it was the same story as Schuh..........a letter on the spot, again they sell genuine Uggs and have excellent customer service!
All this was academic though, because I filed a complaint with eBay. After a day they did something i did not know ebay did ..... they sent me a phone number. I called it and the lady said she would investigate! She put me on hold and after two minutes, told me that she had found in my favor and will issue a full refund to me!!!
I got the refund the day after via PayPal. I guess there were so many complaints against this guy it did not take much investigating.
Unfortunately the original seller still has my original payment. I have sent my evidence to PayPal and hopefully he will loose my original payment for violating their rules or what ever. Anyway, I am refunded and a lot less stressed!!!
Many thanks:money:
Oh and after all that, the boots didn't fit anyway!! I have destroyed them as ebay suggested!!0 -
Glad it's all sorted...if you buy a real pair, it might be nice to get them at one of the shops which helped you out.

Are you sure the original seller still has your money? iI thought paypal refunded you from the sellers account, even if the balance is zero, it puts their account into minus.
