Ugg Dilema & PayPal Problems

Firstly the Uggs!
purchased a pair of Uggs off eBay (yes, i now know that was a bad idea, thank you) for £90 and they turn out to be fakes.
I approached PayPal and they say just get a statement from someone to say that they are and we'll refund you! Easy, i thought! Wrong!!!!
Bank, Selfridges, Ugg (importers of) and Trading Standards all said no! So I contact PayPal and they basically say, well, if you dont get something in 10 days then well will find in th sellers favor!
Eh? What! How does that work I asked - Computer says so was the response!
So in conclusion, PayPal complaints, very poor service, no real help and terrible advice. If you do not want to find yourself in my position, simply say the items were not as described - then the onus is on the vendor to act.
secondly and the reason im here - can anyone in the coventry, birmingham area help me out by doing a note to say the boots i have are fake. Ideally someone who works at an Ugg shop! I would really appreciate the help!!!!
Fingers crossed!!!

Its quite easy really you have to prove they are fake. If not everyone and there mum would just have to say there fake to keep the item and get a refund (if they are fake you do not have to return them)0 -

Er, thanks for nothing. I forgot to say in my post, I am not a complete idiot. I think 10 days is a very short period of time to impose one someone who works for his money (whilst the shops are open) to get this information.
As I have explained - this information is very difficult to obtain.
And thirdly, does it not seem obsurd that after 10 days they are effectively declared not fakes? I am saddled with poor quality goods and the counterfieter wins!
Really lets keep it to helpful comments!

Have you tried to contact Ugg directly to see if there is anything that they can do? They must have a website and a 'contact us' section. Please call me 'Pickle'

Why should we be helpful? You just bite at anyone who points out simple basic facts.
Unless you get proof that they are fake within 10 days, you lose, it's that simple. Do some foot work, grab a Yellow Pages and a telephone and ring around shoe shops (you'll moan about the phone bill now, I know your type), it's really not all that hard.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
Hmm...is there anything that evidently 'looks' fake that you could take pictures of, or is it just the 'feel' of the material etc.? I guess the only other things you could do are 1) contact the main Ugg manufacturer and explain the situation and see if they could ask someone to help (small chance, I know, but better than nothing), and if there is a time delay involved with sending them somewhere, then perhaps ask Paypal for a delay in judgement; 2) keep ringing round.
I know that's not much help, but best of luck! Please call me 'Pickle'

1) I know its that simple, thats what I said in my original post.
2) I have called around, as I explained in my original post. Not many places sell these things near to me.
3) No you dont know my type! You know nothing about me.
4) It is quite hard, otherwise I wouldn't be asking strangers for help.
Please keep it helpful!0 -

They are obviously fake to anyone in the know ~ I class my self as one of these people, but for obvious reasons my word is not enough!
They come in the wrong box, have a "Boot Bag" which ugg don't provide, have tags on them which Ugg dont have.
I have photos of all these things, but I really need the advice of some one who works in that field.
I have asked PayPal about possible extensions, unlikely they say.
I am going to try some shops tomorrow after work, fingers crossed!0 -
So you want us to help you, but you couldn't be bothered to try and help other buyers who get scammed? Nice. :rolleyes:Jose_Chupachup wrote: »They added but if i want to help them by telling them who sold the items i can! Didn't take them up on that offer!
You complain about no-one being helpful but you have very few choices, we could go aww poor you, but that's about all the help anyone on this website could be- it is UGGs official policy to not help in these cases (as you have found out), so you are left with mostly out of paypal choices- trading standards (who I see have already turned you down) or small claims court (which since ugg is a style, you probably won't win.)This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

For someone "in the know", I find it odd that you don't know well enough not to buy them from ebay.Jose_Chupachup wrote: »anyone in the know ~ I class my self as one of these people
Also, wouldn't
constitute fraud, because you're asking someone to pretend to be something they're not (ie, an Ugg expert).Jose_Chupachup wrote: »secondly and the reason im here - can anyone in the coventry, birmingham area help me out by doing a note to say the boots i have are fake.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.
