Anyone been refused by JD Williams?

I think I may just have been declined by them.

I applied 3 weeks ago and was told my order would be with me in a week, but no order and no letters from them so I called them up and was told the order had been cancelled by credit control. I was given their number to call but they aren't open at the moment so it'll be tomorrow before I hear.

Anyone else ever been refused by them? I'd always read on this forum they're meant to be reasonably easy to get an account with, my credit isn't amazing but it isn't terrible either.

I think that 95% of people pass the credit scoring. Best bet would be to look online and see whether you can order using a credit account or whether it asks for credit card details.

Credit control / underwriters may just need some further inforamtion before opening your account

BTW, what is your credit file like?

Their web application wouldn't accept my address so I had to phone them to get the account opened, I'm sure my credit's ok as I just got an account upgrade from the Clydesdale yesterday

All I would suggest if you do not have online access would be to call them. If your credit is ok I would assume that they just need to verify your address etc.

That might well be it, though I'd sure have liked them to at least let me know what was happening. A letter or phonecall would not have gone amiss

They turned me down after they approved me online, I paid £56 towards my order.

They then cancelled the order and turned me down for a credit account, had to waite almost two weeks for them to give me the money back ....

Week after Studio opened me an account.

My File is a mess though.

When I got a jacamo acc the said they automatcially gove you £100 credit.

Turns out they want proof of residency because their system doesn't like my address. I'm quite annoyed they didn't tell me they'd cancelled my order though

they wouldnt open an account for me
they approved me online and gave me a credit limit of £125 but the next day i had a snotty email off somebody called joanne saying id been refused and that they wouldnt entertain any appeal.
i wasnt really arsed as they dont have anything i really wanted but it would have been nice to have another credit builder
