Why not save money but just sticking to the speed limit?

because they are ridiculous......they are improving safety, driving training, more cars on the roads and now the answer is to cut speed limits.....

the do-gooders (hypocrites who also speed) lead us to believe we need more safety features like road humps (live in a road with them and you will strange the plonker who decide to install them...means that more people by 4x4's! and damages the planet - more suspension/brakes required), cameras (grr!), street calming (means mrs 4x4 who thinks their 4x4 is safe can drive at you even when they dont have right of way)

be cynical, the police only warn us about speeding so they can justifying blighting our landscape with speed cameras......and councils install traffic calming measures so they can justify their bloated budgets for the next financial year

I get fed up with all the street humps in Reading....I keep getting the road equivelent of sea sickness.....maybe I should invent a car that hops..... or just by a 4x4 (now that would annoying the goaty bearded do gooders!)

Hi guys, I have bought OH this

    http://www.microfuzion.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=MFZLAZUNIT

because as some of you know, he's been caught speeding, well 42mph, at half 4 in morning. But I wont get into that! My question is, I think I've boobed and got the wrong thing, it looks like this doesnt get cameras?? He has a Acer palmtop thingy for the streetmap, does this mean he may be able to download the stuff for cameras onto that?
    Thanks all

It looks as though the one you bought does detect both cameras and laser guns, although it doesn't have the gps database which the title suggests it should have.
For gps palm tops, pda's etc a speed camera database can be downloaded from https://www.pocketgps.co.uk. It used to be free but now it's £2 a month or £19 a year.

Following on from this, can someone answer a question for me please? There was some talk a while back of laser detectors being made illegal. Does anyone know if this is still on the cards? Reason being, that I'm thinking of getting a GPS system with laser detector for my husband and want to make sure that the whole system isn't going to become illegal in the near future.

    TIA
I have been told that the units(road angel's for sure) with built in laser detection will be modified with a firmware upgrade or downgrade if you will , sot they will stay legal when the road bill finally passes ..murf
