Well said. It's not hard to keep to it. I drive nearly every day, been driving over a year now and never had a speeding ticket. Without an expensive detector.
Thing with them is, if you start depending on a detector instead of keeping to speed limits, you'll probably get caught out if one isn't detected0 -
Well i've been a high mileage company car driver for the past 9 years and one of the main difficulties now is the confusion of the speed limits. Sometimes it's hard to know whether you're in a 30, 40, 50 or a 60 - the speed limits change so frequently.
On the M25 around Heathrow way you can go through all of those varying speed limits within a stretch of about 10 miles and it's very confusing.0 -
Following on from this, can someone answer a question for me please? There was some talk a while back of laser detectors being made illegal. Does anyone know if this is still on the cards? Reason being, that I'm thinking of getting a GPS system with laser detector for my husband and want to make sure that the whole system isn't going to become illegal in the near future.

because as some of you know, he's been caught speeding, well 42mph, at half 4 in morning. But I wont get into that! My question is, I think I've boobed and got the wrong thing, it looks like this doesnt get cameras?? He has a Acer palmtop thingy for the streetmap, does this mean he may be able to download the stuff for cameras onto that?
Thanks all0 -
The category says "GPS warning" but the description doesn't tie up with that - either you've been done, or it is misdescribed and actually does what you need.0
