Just know if you are ghoing to buy one it doesn't detect them, but just has an updatable database installed to give you warning when you are in the vicinity of one. Must say.... could quite easily get mistaken for an infrared suggesting it detects speed radar traps!

Having seen one of these in use, I wouldn't even give you £29.97 for it.

.... well if you already have GPS navigation (tomtom, etc) then you can generally download these sites (POI's) free.

I agree that the sales description naughtily leads you to think it is radar based like Road Angel.

I have one of these and it works perfectly well, within its constraints.

Meaning that it is database-based, not a detector, and that it therefore doesn't report mobile camera vans or police vehicles which may have the ability to detect your speeding.

I think it's honestly well worth the tiny prices referred to in the earlier posts - that's half the cost of a speeding ticket. It depends on where you drive, though - if you are constantly driving in areas where mobile camera vans operate, you will just have to drive more slowly. ;)

Get a Garmin Streetpilot i3 sat nav for not much more and not only will it tell you where to go but it'll also warn you of ALL the speed cameras, Specs, mobile, Truvelo, Gatso, etc, if you upload the POI's database to it.

Why not save money but just sticking to the speed limit?
