Help regarding how to change name?

I think if there is a good reason for the name Muizz then stick with it. My name is never pronounced correctly but it's an old traditional Danish name - however it's always incorrectly pronounced here in the UK... It's not the end of the world and it's often a great conversation starter

It's an arabic name and if your heritage is Arabic then I think you should stick with it
It's traditional and there is nothing wrong with keeping traditional names alive (as opposed to Mercedes and lord knows what mis-spellings of "normal" names...)
Although I agree with you, I would like to add that Mercedes IS a traditional name in Spain and means 'mercies'.
My son's name is Ben (just Ben) and although people have no trouble with the spelling or pronunciation (!), some often lengthen it to Benjamin. He just points out that it is not his name and requests that the call him by his correct one.
If you like the name and that is a traditional way of spelling it, I would just keep it.
By the way, I know how to pronounce Siobhan and Niamh but haven't a clue about the others (how do you pronounce them?) and have only recently found out that Aisling is pronounced Ashleen!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Siobhan - sha-vorn
Niamh - neev
Sian - Sharn
My daughter is Sian

I actually knew those ones, but there were some others in the thread that I can't even remember how to spell, let alone pronounce!
Caoimhe Aoife Eilidh (a bit of cut and paste!).
Does Eilidh = Eileen?
I know Diarmuid is Dermot though!
My own name is Belinda, which seems easy enough to me, but I am often called Brenda, Beverley or Barbara and many people spell it Berlinda or Berlinder or even Balinder.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

I've spent my whole life telling people how to pronounce 'Ciara' only for that American popstar to make up her own way to say it...."I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." Does Eilidh = Eileen?
Caoimhe = kwee-veh (ROI) kee-vah (N Ire) Irish Gaelic meaning beautiful
Aoife = ee-fee Irish Gaelic I'm not sure of the meaning. I thought it was the Irish Gaelic for Eva but it's not.
Eilidh = ay-lay Scottish Gaelic for Helen (Eileen is also derived from Helen, so you were close
)
HTH...I'm better with Scottish Gaelic pronouncation though. I'll stand corrected if my Irish Gaelic isn't spot on

Thanks.....being an English Midlander who has lived for five years in Spain, I'm better with Spanish names than either Scots or Irish Gaelic, although I am interested in both the languages.
Unlike Spanish, Gaelic is not phonetic!:rotfl:(AKA HRH_MUngo)
