Advice please....
hi,
i was the owner of a k800i for the last few years and was more than happy with it....i am on an o2 18 month contract.
i recently had a problem with it and sent it off as i was covered through natwest advantage gold account. it was returned and sent back 3 times before they admitted they could not fix it and i was offered another phone...meanwhile i have swapped my o2 contract sim card with another phone to keep using it as i have a load of free minutes and txts on it.
they have offered me the c510 as a replacement or £140. it seems a good phone but i aint sure, similar to the c702??.
anyway while i was looking up the phone info i saw that i could get a c510, as a payg for £80 on o2. or £129 as a sim free phone.
is my best bet then, if that is the one i decide on, to take their money and buy the payg phone for £60 less and put my old original o2 sim card into it to use - or can i not do that.
next option, to buy the sim free phone, which will give me a bit of change, and use my original sim card.
please can someone explain what my best option would be...

I had the k810i and the C510 looks very much like a replacement for the k series phones.
I would personally take the money and buy a different phone. C510 - It looks good but its basically resembling what the k800 was. The w995 is too expensive (but its my choice for next phone if I could), other than C905 maybe (think there are problems with that model though or was it the C902).
Might be time for complete change to a different manufacturer
But definitely opt for cash if the phones are only the c510 etc.0 -
Take the money0

hi..thanks..can i then buy the payg handset and use my own o2 sim card?0

As long as its unlocked yes.
Phones 4u selling w995 for £199 - if you use quidco probably get tenner off.
Thats on vodafone or orange - should be unlocked I think.
But if you got £140 from o2 for compensation for your k800 and add £60 from your own pocket, thats a bargain.
Even cheaper here for £170.0 -
hi..the c510 i have seen for £80 comes with an o2 sim card....
even if it is locked to o2 i should be able to use my own o2 sim in it shouldnt i?0 -
