I agree the Pampered Chef stuff is expensive, but I have bought the pizza stone (fab), the soap dispensers and the garlic press. Think the garlic press was £17 but I have never had to peel garlic since... I also had one of their square bakers which was great but broke into two pieces when someone left it on a lit hob.

I enjoyed the parties I went to and sampling the food so £17 at one/£20 at another wasn't too bad. I also bought a pizza stone set for my son's birthday and he makes the most fabulous home made pizzas on it :D

He has a couple of the knives and a chopping board which are fab. I wouldn't buy the chopper though...it's way too expensive for what it is.

I adore my batter bowl, can even bake cakes in it, love the fatc its got a lid cover so can stick leftovers in it in the fridge.

The adjustable spoon thing is gathering dust in a draw, got the chopper but we have an ikea one at work (about £7 iirc) and for the difference I'd go for the ikea one.

The kiddies knife is excellent, my DS uses it for carrots.

Love the stoneware but yes very pricey, though I use mine most days.

Love my pizza stone (fab for any pastry/bread products) and use my big stoneware dish nearly every day. I have just opened the mini chopping board and pairing knife to cut lemon for g&t - this was a free gift with order years ago. I think the parties are worth it for the cookery demonstrations, some of the things I've sampled have gone on to become family favourites and I've got a pc cook book which is good, lots of "cheats".
  • I love love love my cut and sea,its only £9.00l!!!!! i went to a neighbours party and could only afford a few items......i would have loved the pizza stone aswell though!!got the kids the little knives too but ours now use these for playdough
the cut and seal is brill for kids sandwiches as you use it to cut the two slices of bread into a circle...then you fill the bottom piece with whatever you like, pop the top slice on and pop the cut'n'seal over the top and push down....it crimps and seals the edges, genious!!!
we also use it for pastry...our faves are jam pockets (cheap and cheerful!) and nutella and peanut butter (tastes like reeses butter cups...yum!) then pop them in the oven and try not to eat them all before they cool, lol.

oh and waffle berry pie has now become our family favourite after it was made at the pc party!!
    it takes more energy
    to hate than to love...
    love and relax!

The thing I used every single day is the black plastic microwave saucepan (about £6), and I bought the bigger one for steaming veg too. I use it for baked beans, soup too. They have lids with steam vents in the top. The most useful things I have ever bought! I have a few bits of PC things - had a party and got loads of freebies, but other things I use all the time - 6 glass "prep" bowls. Great for storing leftovers (each one has a white plastic lid), or jellies. (about £16 or so), I do use my food chopper but only because my masterpiece (!) dinners include the chicken and brocolli pie that is demonstrated by PC and it is teriffic for that. If you have any stoneware, then the stoneware cookbook is good. The ice cream scoop we use all the time too - has liquid inside it that heats up with the warmth of your hand and makes the ice cream come out easier - expensive for what it is, and I wouldnt have bought it - but I got it free and it is a good gadget. The corn on the cob things are crap. The only other thing I use all the time is the pizza stone. You can use it for fish fingers, chips, nuggets etc as well as pizza - in fact anything you want to bake that won't leak liquid because there isn't a lip on the edge, not just for pizza's.
Just don't get sucked in. Its very expensive stuff - if I was going to buy one thing, it would be the plastic microwave saucepan. x
  • Hi,

I bought the pizza stone to use for Pizzas, fish fingers and French fries. Any other ideas? And the chopper ... what are you mainly using it for ?

Thanks in advance for the few tips you may give me as a new user !

I love my cut-n-seal too. I decided not to spend loads before I went along, and I stuck to it. Would have loved the pizza stone though.
