I've only started the process of opening a first account online.
Are Lloyds definitely limiting the Vantage accounts to one each only after Nov 1st?
If so the online acc may not be opened before then, so are in branch accounts opened immediately?
If you are in the process of opening an online acc, could you apply for three accounts in branch and then cancel the online application?
Finally, is there any idea how long the 4% on 6K balances will last?
TIA

Getting too confused. It seems to be to me that a Lloyds Classic current account with amounts up to 7K become a Vantage account??
Haven't look at Reward accounts as such
TIA

You have to say that you want the Vantage option - it doesn't happen automatically 'cos you put in 7K - you can request that it have the Vantage option as soon as you open it regardless of the balace. Its just that you don't get paid 4% until you have at least £5000.Getting too confused. It seems to be to me that a Lloyds Classic current account with amounts up to 7K become a Vantage account??

All the above is correct re: Vantage accounts - i opened my last two today over the phone (0800.056.0035) in about 15 mins no problem .....
But for 'free' money you MUST look at the Halifax Reward accounts ......
Open 3 per person (until 1st November) and move £1000 through them using faster payments (just done my three today - took about 4 minutes)
money doesnt have to stay there ..... gets you £15 per month (after tax!!)
HUGE return on £3 invested (and its the same £3 all year!!)
See my earlier post .... I'll edit this when I find it again .....
earlier post was called 'Halifax Reward accounts .... repetition I know but may help some ' currently on page 2 of the savings posts......0 -
Well that was my plan too.....steveksullivan wrote: »

Sent my £1000 FP from LTSB - moved it through the accs and then tried to move it out -
1)sent a £1 test transaction - FP OK - but no FP allowed for the rest.
After reading a thread on here thought I'd try a different account
2)So another transfer £999 to Reward acc 2
set up payee on Acc2
Sent a £1 test transaction - FP OK - no FP for the rest
3)Another transfer £998 to Reward Acc 3
Set up payee on Acc3
Sent £1 test transaction FP OK - Haleleuiah £997 FP'd out
Got there in the end - but took way longer than a few minutes- and I still have no FP from acc1 or acc2
(Oh all attempts apart from the first were between 9am and 3pm today -as advised)0
