I'm one for letting my DS(5) loose with the argos catolgue and a pair of sissors. He cuts out what he likes then marks his top 10, which makes up his xmas list. He knows he wont get everything off his list. This does give me a guideline for what he's into, when family/friends ask what to get him at xmas.
Ok, back to presents for a 13/14 boy,
how about a money box to save for those games he wants
a juggling set
A cheap rubix cube (<£2) - perfect acompaniment to a voucher
a cook book for boys
A book on martial arts
A reading book
A really good dictionary and thesurus set (i got one at about this age which was invalueable for school)
Stuff to do with what he's interested in at school
A good razor (or how about a shaving lesson at a local barbers?)
A survivers guide to ........ (they are always worth a good laugh)
What about a second hand game (you can pick some up for under a tenner)?0
