I got an email from a buyer today. Said she had left 1 star for postage as I had only charged her £5 for postage and she could see the postage was £8.65 :confused:You just can't win either way :p
That's a bit pants. If a seller did that with me there's no way I would leave only one star!

Send her an invoice for the difference. Should make her happy. :p

I see some sellers have an option on their listings to let you choose which method of delivery you would like, ie recorded or not. Does anyone know how you do this? I think it would be helpful so buyers can have exactly what they want to fit in with their daily lives.

You should make a complaint to Post Office Ltd regarding this. I have never encountered it myself but I know it goes on. Post Office staff should not be allowed to get away with complaining that they have to serve someone regardless of how many parcels they have.
My local post office loves me coming in and the other Ebayers because its more business for them and keeps them from being shut down.

I know what you are saying about complaining but I just dont see that it would go anywhere, I would just get fobbed off I think. It happened again today and I had 6 parcels and I felt so guilty even going in there and felt I had to apologise to the lady behind me for having parcels. The lady that served me before was the manager as well. This is a post office with about 10 counters as well. Are there any other ways of posting items, I know I can print out postage at home on the computer and this would be no problem for me but how can i get proof of postage without going to the counter? I have anything between 1 and 15 parcels a day and I feel so guilty about going to the PO with them.

My local PO are generally excellent but someone serving did suggest to me the other day that as it's getting closer to Christmas I might want to consider bringing my packages in smaller batches. I had brought around 25 that day. Thing is I have all the certificates written up, customs forms all done, all sorted depending on overseas/UK, large letter/packet etc.

I would complain as the reason as these people feel they can get away with it is because no one complains. Its crazy to feel guilty for having loads of parcels in the post office. Would you feel guilty about having a trolley load of shopping at Tesco when they are busy? No. So why feel guilty at the post office? If your happy to queue then where is the problem? They should be grateful for the business.

Could you go to a different post office? The one nearest to me has atrocious service, and the next nearest are the city centre ones which are always packed. But if I go roughly the same distance in the opposite direction there's a good one.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

yes there is another one near me but it is only a little local one and I feel they would be even more annoyed surely?

  • I think buyers need to be made more aware of what the feedback is supposed to mean. Several friends and family members of mine leave three stars if they are happy, as they figure that this is the 'average' score and thus should be given on a smooth transaction, with fours and fives only being given if they feel the seller went above and beyond expectations. It can often only be when you come to sell that you realise otherwise.

Angelic, I don't know - my old one was small and they were great. It's such a shame it was closed down. I think it's more down to the people in it.

Maybe some buyers think that 1's the best and 5 the worst? I can't see how they'd think that, but I can't see any other reason for some of the examples on here.
