DSR How are they fair?

No you don't its included in the price. If its fair or not you have to live with them. If you are sending low price items (under £39) recorded your buyers may think that the cost of this (which is in the price) is too much as most sellers do not send low value items recorded as you can claim with proof of posting for lost items up to £39
I did not include this in the price actually, i took the opportunity to sell some clearance stock to make room for new stock and added the P&P for FREE. So overall from this last lot I was only just over break even, but i thought it would help boost my ratings. Some of my items are worth more than £39 so I think I am justified in sending it recorded. sellers have to protects themselves as well.taken on second job + £160 per month
rejigged my bills + £190 per month
got cheaper car to run + £40 per month
got two liftsharers + £120 p/m
given up smoking since 31/12/2008 + 180 p/m0 -
do you state it is sent recorded?
a lot of people prefer non recorded as items can fit through the letterbox when they are not home.
if they dont know its RD it may annoy them.
i know it shouldnt but could0 -

Doesnt it just show how messed up the ebay system is when you have to block regular buyers in case they mess up your stars!!!

It annoys me that they have 5 stars, yet you have to do better than about 4.5 stars to just be able to sell!
Whats the point in the 1st 4 stars??0 -
I got an email from a buyer today. Said she had left 1 star for postage as I had only charged her £5 for postage and she could see the postage was £8.65
You just can't win either way

yes i do state this and when i send them a request for payment i also put in the notes section that i am happy to send by 1st class 'normal' post if they prefer, which i have had one person take me up on, and i adjusted the invoice accordingly.taken on second job + £160 per month

what a joke. i think some buyers think all sellers are out to con them. i'm just trying to make some pennies instead of just moaning about being skint. even the post office were complaining yesterday, three parcels to send was obviously too much hassle for the lady at the counter as she rolled her eyes at me and asked why i didnt put the stamps on before i came? errm is the post office not the place to buy stamps then?? rant over.......... for nowtaken on second job + £160 per month

You should make a complaint to Post Office Ltd regarding this. I have never encountered it myself but I know it goes on. Post Office staff should not be allowed to get away with complaining that they have to serve someone regardless of how many parcels they have.
My local post office loves me coming in and the other Ebayers because its more business for them and keeps them from being shut down.0 -
Yup, DSRS are a totally flawed system. I've had customers tell me I've had 1 star all across the board for excellent service??
Ebay and there money grabbing ways. Bad DSRs = no power seller status. How handy?!?!0
